be SEO Challenging for Webmasters
Each
year does bring new challenges in every business, no matter what it is.
The
SEO challenges in 2010 are mainly from all the changes in how the
largest
search engine, Google, has configured their algorithms, and from the
guidelines
from the Federal Trade Commission. These changes will have a large
impact on internet
and affiliate marketers and in the way they do their search engine
optimization for their sites.
This
year, Google has decided to do a complete overhaul of their search
engine. The
total impact on marketers has yet to be known, but many website owners
are
dreading the outcome. Google has also started to involve more real time
searches that bring in relevant comments on the social networks like
Twitter
and MySpace. This is to the advantage of online marketers that have
already got
a grip on the whole social marketing. The avenue of marketing has
already shown
explosive results for those affiliate marketers that jumped onboard in
the last
year. If you have not done so yet, get an account on as many social
sites as
you can and regularly update. Most go for about 25 out of the 78 that
are out
there. Keeping these sites filled with your postings is a great amount
of work,
but the traffic potential is enormous.
The
most bothersome announcement from Google that has many website owners
worried
is the effect their load time will have on their SERPs. Many are
reworking
their SEO web design to make their sites load faster in anticipation of
a

A
major warning from Google’s spokesperson, Matt Cutts, is to make sure
all of
the links are good and your coding is correct. They will start to
punish sites
with lower rankings that have not taken the time to pay attention to

allows the
end user to pick the way sites are ranked for them. Some people fear
this could
be the end of SEO web design and make all that work irrelevant.
At the
end of 2010, we will be able to see the results and the effects this
may have
on how people use the internet.
Next,
the FTC rules on testimonials and endorsements that came into effect on
December 1, 2009. This requires any and all connections of a
testimonial or
endorsement and the relationship with the site owner or owner of the
product,
be disclosed in its entirety. This is to include any business or
personal
relationship. This total transparency will more than likely be taken to
court
sometime this next year. Some more changes and modifications to this
new set of
rules are likely to follow.
